Verdict
The Asus Zenfone Max Plus M1 is a decent smartphone and comes with a lot of goodies including a powerful processor and excellent battery backup. The key attraction of the device is the dual primary cameras which can also capture wide-angle photos as well with better results of photography and videography. However, you can find some better options with more RAM within the price range.

Display and Design

The Asus Zenfone Max Plus M1 features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels. The device is cased in a metallic body and is available in three different colours - black, gold and silver. The smartphone also bears a fingerprint sensor, which is placed just below the camera module.
OS and Configuration

The Asus Zenfone Max Plus M1 boots on Android v7.0 (Nougat) operating system, which runs on the top of ZenUI 4.0 user interface. Placed upon the MediaTek MT6750T chipset, two quad-core processors (1.5GHz Cortex A53 and 1GHz Cortex A53) produce a good performance to drive the system. Along with these, a 2GB RAM assists the smoother operation of the processor during simultaneous usage of apps. Moreover, a Mali-T860 MP2 GPU is available to fulfil simple graphical needs.

The device comes with a dual rear camera setup. The main camera comes with a resolution of 16MP (f/2.0) basically is there for normal photography, while the second lens with 8MP resolution aids wide-angle photography with more in-depth results, which is good for landscape and group photos. At the other end, the Asus Zenfone Max Plus M1 is equipped with an 8MP lens up front, which captures nice selfies and also aids video calling.
